Congrats Karen Overbye for a jurors award at the Annual Juried Exhibition of the Art Alliance of Monmouth

The Art Alliance Gallery, at 33 Monmouth St, Redbank NJ, has their 27th Annual Juried Exhibition, opening Saturday Nov 9th (6-9 PM) running through December  1st.  This year's judge was Mark Alan Samaty, artist and author.  His work has been on the cover of the New Yorker.  AAG member Karen Overbye's painting Scorch was selected to be part of this exhibition and she was also given a jurors award.

Scorch was originally created this summer for the RAYS project to Raise Awareness of Your Sun Exposure.  This summer Scorch was on tour of medical centers in Somerset, Morristown and Hunterdon County

Roosevelt Art Project (RAP) -Open Studio Event-Nov 9th and Nov 10th 12 Noon-5 PM

This will be a self guided tour through the many artist studios of Roosevelt.  Tour maps are available on the web at http://music.columbia.edu/roosevelt/  and at the Roosevelt Post Office.  AAG member Lucretia Ellen McGuff Silverman will have her studio, at 10 North Valley Road, open to the tour.
